In Marathon, TJ Dawe weaves parallel stories of having been a terrible long-distance runner as a teenager, with learning about his biggest personal blind spots. Dawe has performed autobiographical monologues at more than 100 theatre and comedy festivals worldwide.

“Dawe is a master storyteller. Marathon is a tale about the journey of self-awareness … You will leave thinking about Dawe, you will leave thinking about yourself.” —Orlando Weekly

“★★★★★! Cancel your next therapist’s appointment and go see TJ instead. It will have the same effect! —CBC Manitoba

“I defy anyone to leave the theatre without having also learned something about themselves.” —Adelaide Theatre Guide

TJ Dawe is a Vancouver-based writer, performer, director and teacher. He has had a hand in the birth of more than thirty new plays, and teaches a course at Langara on how to create solo shows.
